Throughout November and December, local traders and the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce are bringing the festive spirit to life with a Family Christmas Picnic in the Park, a town-wide Treasure Hunt, a Christmas Window Competition, giveaways, live entertainment and more.

Whether you're a local, a visitor, a family looking for a day out, or a business wanting to take part, there’s something for everyone this season in Williamstown.

Our Williamstown Family Christmas Picnic in the Park is coming to Commonwealth Reserve on Saturday 6 December 2025, 10am–4pm! 🌟

Bring your picnic blanket and enjoy a full day of live entertainment, food, games and giveaways - all proudly supported by local traders and the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce.

Feature Performance: Boats by Polyglot Theatre

One of the highlights of this year’s event is Boats by internationally acclaimed Polyglot Theatre - a magical, interactive play experience for children and families.

Boats transforms familiar spaces into imaginary oceans. Children use small, colourful floating boats to journey across “seas” of grass, pavement and imagination - rescuing castaways, dodging sharks, exploring islands, and inventing stories as they go.

This free, drop-in experience runs throughout the day and welcomes children of all ages and abilities.

Explore Williamstown, collect stamps, and get a present!

Download a treasure hunt sheet (use link at top of page) or collect in store from participating traders. Collect stamps at each shop then email your completed sheet to info@visitwilliamstown.com.au.

Bring your completed sheet to the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce stand at the Picnic in the Park on 6th December to claim your present. 🎁🗺️

1 December – 6 December 2025

Williamstown businesses are decking their halls - and their windows!

Vote for your favourite festive window display from the list of participating traders and go in the draw to win a $100 voucher to spend at the winning business.

🎁 Winner announced at the Picnic in the Park on 6th December
